Director Vishal Bhardwaj gave me a good shot in Omkara. Ever since then I had been waiting for him to work with me again on the big screen. This time round I had to wait a bit longer, but I was pretty sure I would like this film. I can safely say I was not disappointed. Based on the Hollywood thriller Machete, Kaminey is a single-camera gag-a-minute crime comedy that is a script-in-progress on cell phones. Its the likes of the Coen Brothers, Quentin Tarantinos and Guy Ritchies that stand taller in the Bollywood crime and action comedy fraternity. Director Vishal Bhardwaj has, in Kaminey, stepped out of his comfort zone.
