The film revolves around six children who get lost in a forest in the middle of the night. They reach a haunted house where an old woman (Ava Mukherjee) challenges them to sit through a narration of six horrific stories. The stories are as follows:

Story 1: Professor: A college professor (Amitabh Bachchan) who is obsessed with his research on paranormal phenomena gets a visit from a mysterious stranger (Randeep Hooda) who claims to be his fan. The stranger reveals that he is actually a ghost who wants to kill the professor for exposing his secrets.

Story 2: Highway: A couple (Arjun Rampal and Bipasha Basu) driving on a highway encounter a series of strange events that lead them to a deserted house where they meet a creepy old man (Makrand Deshpande) who tells them a terrifying tale.

Story 3: Spirit: A struggling actor (Sunil Shetty) gets a chance to star in a horror film, but he soon realizes that the film is actually haunted by the spirit of the actress (Sonali Kulkarni) who died during the shooting.

Story 4: Aaj Kuch Toofani Karte Hai: A group of friends (Riteish Deshmukh, Anil Kapoor and Mallika Sherawat) decide to play a prank on one of their friends (Zakir Hussain) by pretending to be ghosts. However, things go horribly wrong when they encounter a real ghost in the process.

Story 5: Matrimony: A rich businessman (Rajpal Yadav) marries a beautiful woman (Manisha Koirala) who has a dark secret. She is actually possessed by the spirit of her dead husband (Shakti Kapoor) who wants to take revenge on her for his murder.

Story 6: Who's There?: A young boy (Shweta Basu Prasad) who is afraid of the dark gets a visit from his uncle (Abhishek Bachchan) who tells him a story about a haunted house where a family was killed by an unknown entity.

The film ends with a twist that reveals the true identity of the old woman and the fate of the children.
